Android Studio is the premium Android Development IDE. If you wish to pursue Android Development, you will most likely have to use Android Studio. Because it's a tool by Google, it is bound to be filled with excellence and a feature-rich environment that is necessary for anyone who wishes to create enterprise-level Android applications.

When you start a project in Android Studio, a file manager with a hierarchical structure is visible on the left side, while your code is displayed in either the middle or the right side. You can then manage your project and see all the files and folders in the file manager.

The build of the application is handled using the Gradle Management System that makes it much more effective and efficient than the conventional setup. One of the most likable features of the Android Studio is that it can visualize all the changes at runtime. This means that any change you make in the code can be seen in the app/render in real-time allowing you to decide and decipher if you did it correctly.

Another useful feature is the labeling of the code that the Android SDK can do on its own. It allows you to create large codes under labels and packs. You can expand the label or keep it closed if you don't need to edit it. The drag and drop functionality is also available for all the components of the UI.

The Android Studio code editor is one of the most intelligent editors around. It guides you for all the functions you use and even provides suggestions about what functions you could rather use. It provides a lot of things to make it as easier to code and develop as possible.

The only downside found in the Android Studio is that it is a relatively heavy application that requires the user to have a more than capable machine to run and handle it. Virtual Devices take quite a toll on your computer.

The Android Studio by Google provides a complete Android Development IDE that is capable of developing any level of Android applications. With the complete set of features and functionality, the user needs some time to get to know everything, but everything is there. Provided that you have a capable computer, the Android Studio doesn't lack anything, and that's what makes it so great for Android development.
